Cohere To Deliver Joint MWC Keynote with Lockheed Martin: “Going Hypersonic – Accelerating Secure Wireless to the Edge”
SAN JOSE, CA, February 7, 2023—Cohere Technologies, the innovator of 4G/5G Universal Spectrum Multiplier software for RAN and Open RAN, and OTFS waveform for 6G, today revealed details of its presence at MWC Barcelona, the world’s most influential wireless event. Cohere will be showcasing its Universal Spectrum Multiplier (USM) and Orthogonal Time Frequency Space (OTFS) waveform technologies at stand OA3B.8 during the show, which takes place February 27 through March 2 in Barcelona, Spain.
“The cellular industry will gather in Barcelona for MWC to debate how to drive sustainable, new revenue growth as we approach the 6G era,” commented Cohere CEO Ray Dolan. “Cohere will be demonstrating innovative technologies that enable carriers to maximize their huge investments in spectrum licenses and pave the way for future “hypersonic” wireless services.”
Cohere and Lockheed Martin to Deliver “Going Hypersonic” Keynote
Cohere and aerospace giant Lockheed Martin will deliver a joint keynote address on Tuesday, February 28, 2023. Cohere CEO Ray Dolan will be joined by Jim Taiclet—Chairman, President and CEO of Lockheed Martin—to present in the keynote session, “Going Hypersonic – Accelerating Secure Wireless to the Edge”, beginning at 09:30 (CET). The keynote is streamed live at: www.mobileworldlive.com
Automated Beamforming Alignment for MU and Massive MIMO
Cohere will be showcasing its new Dynamic Network Alignment (DNA) solution that automates MU-MIMO beamforming for 4G and 5G networks using existing network infrastructure and spectrum assets. DNA uses a zero-touch process that delivers an uninterrupted service, persistent beamforming alignment, and MU-MIMO efficiency, while accounting for a wide range of variability in equipment and weather conditions.
Universal Spectrum Multiplier for 4G/5G RAN and Open RAN
Cohere will be demonstrating how its Universal Spectrum Multiplier technology can deliver up to twice the spectrum bandwidth using existing 4G and 5G spectrum—both in an Open RAN environment and using existing infrastructure.
Orthogonal Time Frequency Space (OTFS) for 6G
Cohere will also showcase its patented OTFS waveform for 6G and “MultiG” networks. The OTFS waveform is a candidate for future 6G services. OTFS can provide reliable, affordable wireless communications even under extreme doppler, such as hypersonic flight. Cohere has been developing OTFS and Delay Doppler-based radar technologies since the company’s inception in 2011 and holds more than 100 patents.
